Reviews about Bill's Glass and Windshields
- ★ ★ ★ ★ ★May 21, 2020, by Joey PoppyseedMy windshield on my Tahoe cracked the day before our road trip. I called this morning and they got me in same day. Very friendly staff. Took about an hour and I was good to go. Excellent service. I am very satisfied.
- ★ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆January 02, 2020, by Curried FavorTo be honest, I feel like they don't care about their customers here. I took my car in for what I thought was a window replacement, but ended up just being a replacement for the automatic piece that makes the window roll up. The original quote had been $345 for the window replacement, then I was quoted $240 over the phone by the man who worked on my car (apparently the manager) for just the replacement of the piece. Once I got there the front desk informed me that the manager had not written up a report for my car and that they were going to charge me $275 based on their estimate of the procedure. When I tried to find out what happened to raise the price, no one could explain it to me and acted like I was trying to pull one over on them. I'm a college student, when the mechanic quoted me the $240 over the phone I repeated it back to him to make sure that I'd heard him correctly and that I knew what I was going to be paying. After being somewhat annoyed by the lack of communication and explanation on their part I sucked it up and paid the $275 for a used automatic window piece. After taking it home I noticed the window was making a grinding sound and that it was actually scratching up my window when I rolled it down. I took it back in hoping they could fix the scratching problem and buff the scratches caused by their replacement job out of the window. Ultimately, they told me it was out of their hands and that the scratches had been caused by the dirt protectors on my car windows being too worn. In the six years that I've owned my car, dirt has never gotten into my windows and scratched them up. That happened after their replacement job. The manager told me that there was nothing they could do because I agreed to buy a used replacement piece. They never offered me an option to buy a new one! I either had to agree to buy the old piece or have my window permanently rolled down. No one warned me beforehand that installing a used automatic window piece could potentially scratch up my car window! How was I supposed to know that? I spoke with the manager and tried to explain why I felt like I had had such a poor experience with them and he told me that there was nothing that they could do and that he had only ever quoted me $275. The front desk literally told me that he did not write a report for my vehicle. Does that seem like he remembers what he quoted me at all? Yes, I just wanted to squeeze the very specific amount of exactly $35 out of you guys for no apparent reason. The manager told me after the fact that installing used pieces is a "crapshoot". That's exactly how I feel right now. I went in to have my car worked on at Bill's Glass and it was a crapshoot. I lost.
